Patiently Waiting on God - Covenant With Christ International, Inc.

A woman who has truly been an inspirational figure to me would be Pastor Christine Shippey.  Pastor Shippey has been inspiring in many ways. After going through her own trials and tribulations in life, she felt a strong calling to help others.  She began her ministry in 1990, she is an Associate pastor, a Worship Leader, and a prolific Bible Teacher. Pastor Christine Shippey it the sole founder and owner of Covenant with Christ. Her organization helps many in need. Through her non-profit organization she currently operates two food panties, one located in Cleveland, TX and the other located in Huntsville, TX. These operations feed families in need. Covenant with Christ has a non-for-profit resale location in Liberty, TX. This location helps families with needs of clothing, furniture, bedding, and other needs.  Pastor Christine also operates the Covenant with Christ Bible College.

Pastor Christine Shippey also heads mission groups to travel internationally to hold Gospel Crusades and outreaches to provide services woman and children. The groups provide clothing and healthcare to those in Uganda, Africa. These services help woman and children with AIDS/HIV to give them hope and care. To provide bible study and teach them about Christianity.

Though Pastor Christine is not famous, she holds a special place in my life. In 2018 after living for 30 years in a domestic violence relationship she inspired me to move forward with my life. She gave me hope and resources to make a solid life for myself. With out her encouragement I would not be who I am today.

“Matt. 28:19-20 ‘Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen’ … And Psalms 82:3-4 ‘Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.”
